2022 Topps Chrome Sapphire Edition Star Wars offers a fresh chromium update for the original cards. In fact, the checklist features the entire base set from 1977 Topps Star Wars Series 1 and 1977 Topps Star Wars Series 2. These are two of the five initial sets that cover the very first Star Wars film from 1977, later titled A New Hope. Sapphire is best known for its blue cracked ice finish along with a selection of chromium parallels. These fall two per box. However, the mock-up images supplied by Topps don't showcase any added effect versus the originals. It's likely these will look different in hand, but that won't be confirmed until the live cards start to surface.
