On this New MIB (Mint In Box) Toys R Us Exclusive Millennium Falcon (issued in 2012). The Hasbro Star Wars Millenium Falcon from the Star Wars Series is an action figure; vehicle playset appropriate for both boys and girls. Its recommended age is 4+.

The toy was introduced on the market in 2012, and is part of a Toys R Us Exclusive roll out. The product falls into the Action Figure Collectibles category. This is the resized version, larger and more to scale than the original. With features from the secondary sources like the hidden missile launcher and escape pod, this piece was designed for both kids at play, and collectors.

Each Millennium Falcon from this line has a number stamped on the box near the bar code; this one is box # 22691. Limited in contrast to other releases, this version was released in 2012 as a "Toys R Us" Exclusive, as part of the "Vintage Collection" line. The box on this piece recreates the original imagery with stunning accuracy, and they even put a "Kenner " logo on it for posterity.

This makes a great companion for the original. As a collector piece there is still some upside potential for this version of the Millennium Falcon. Also it does not look like they will re-release this item anytime soon. They did not sell well when they were new, all other Falcons that have been released since have been cheaper, and smaller budget versions.

The new toy lines look like they will not produce the same level of quality or detail for the 3.75 figures. The new 3.75 figs appear less detailed, and have fewer points of articulation.

This could be an indication that they will relegate figs in this scale to children's toys. There is a new, larger set with greater detail, but they are made to a larger scale (almost Barbie sized), and won't blend well with existing collections. The "Vintage Collection" that was available between 2009 and 2013 will likely only go up in value.

They are of top notch quality, they are as detailed and have as many points of articulation as collector figures from other franchises. Being that they are of the same scale and the packaging matches; they blend very well with original collections.
